Skins growths or lesions can develop anywhere on the body with some becoming a cosmetic issue, a medical concern or both. According to current estimates, skin cancer is the most prevalent form of cancer in the United States; affecting one in five people over the course of a lifetime.

Our plastic surgeon is trained and experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of all types of benign skin growths, lipomas and subcutaneous cysts, pre-cancerous lesions and forms of skin cancer. Depending upon the diagnosis, extent of the lesion and the cosmetic considerations, our plastic surgeon will remove the benign, pre-cancerous or cancerous growth and perform the needed reconstructive procedures.

• The removal of benign skin lesions such as simple moles, skin tags, xanthelasma (yellow cholesterol rich deposits) or seborrheic keratosis (dark or light brown raised lesion)
